close to old town and stunning beach views

I loved the easy stroll to Centro Historico de Albufeira, just about a 10-minute walk, where I could explore charming streets and savor delicious meals, along with the breathtaking backdrop of Praia do Tunel only a short distance away, inviting me for some sun and fun at the beach. the apartments were clean and spacious with excellent amenities for a single traveler like me.

We enjoyed our six-night stay in a one-bedroom apartment. The view from the balcony was breathtaking! The kitchen was well equipped for self-catering, making our mornings delightful. Pro tip, don’t forget to bring pool gear or budget for caps. The steep hills may be a workout, but the scenery makes it worth it!

The one-bedroom apartments offer well-equipped kitchens with full-size fridges, which is perfect for families wanting to self-cater. Staying on the higher floors, I enjoyed spectacular panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean—definitely a plus for morning coffee or evening relaxation.

Accessing the old town proved challenging due to the steep hill and numerous steps. this is something other guests may find exhausting, especially in the heat. The pool area felt overpopulated at times, making it tough to find a sunbed unless you reserved one early. Additionally, the inconsistent quality across different apartment blocks raised some eyebrows—my initial room was poorly furnished and lacked light in the bathroom, prompting a move to a newer unit with still only marginally better decor. Lastly, dealing with the confusing layout took time to get used to, leading to more frustration when trying to locate rooms at night.

Unexpected fun at the pool!

The rooms were huge and had a beautiful view. I loved how they cleaned every day and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. The pool area was lively and inviting.

However, the walking distance to the town is quite steep, especially after a long day. We faced some issues with the door card, but the staff addressed it promptly.

i had an amazing stay at cerro mar, my previous visit didn't quite live up to expectations but this time everything exceeded them. the apartment was spacious, clean, and offered breathtaking sea views from the terrace. i particularly loved how close we were to the old town and the multiple pools available for relaxation.

Spacious room, relaxing atmosphere, with a lovely bar and cafe near the pool that made it easy to grab a bite without leaving the hotel.

The location offers easy access to nearby supermarkets, and the well-maintained pool area is inviting. Unfortunately, the accommodations were subpar. the one-bedroom apartment did not resemble the online photos, lacking proper sleeping arrangements, with one guest forced to use an uncomfortable leather couch. Cleaning services came very late in the day, leaving us without fresh towels at times. While the buffet breakfast had a good variety, the other dining options were disappointing, with limited menu choices.

The beautifully decorated common areas made me feel right at home, especially with the lovely, bright lobby and spacious layout that’s so easy to navigate. Perfect for guests like me who appreciate a welcoming ambiance.

Additional grab bars in bathrooms would be helpful.

Staying at Cerro Mar Atlantico offered a good blend of comfort and fine views. The spacious rooms provided a fantastic vantage point over the Old Town. The steep hill back proved challenging at times, especially after long days exploring. A rewarding experience I cherish.

Great restaurant with good food options. The noise from party groups at night really disturbed our sleep. Nice pools and friendly staff. Billiards area looked fun but didn’t have time to try it out.

This place suits me perfectly with amenities like free wi-fi, outdoor swimming pool, and a fantastic restaurant. I appreciated the staff's help when I lost my wallet, making my stay memorable. I recommend trying the evening meals—they're exquisite! I'm coming back for Easter.

Ideal for families looking for relaxation

The indoor heated pool was a lifesaver during the chilly nights, allowed us to unwind even with 3 young kids. The friendly staff were on point, they made sure our two-bedroom apartment was cleaned every day just like a hotel would!

I had a nice time during my stay. The location was good for getting to the old town quickly. Got to relax by the pools, and the kids had fun playing in the shallow one. It was nice to find a gym with a good view for a workout. I appreciated having many choices for breakfast, especially as a family trying to find something everyone liked.

There were a few drawbacks. The indoor pool required swimming hats. I found that a bit odd and had to buy them. The wifi came with a fee, which seems unnecessary for the price. It would have been better if that was included.
